Monthly Community Update from Sgt Paul Smith – February 26

Over the month of February 2026, we have targeted a number of area's within the Willenhall borough where we have arrested 11 suspects for multiple offences of theft.

1 x Possession counterfeit notes

1 x arrest for 4 x offences of Harassment/stalking and threatening behaviour

1 x arrest on warrant for Failing to attend court

Officers assisted in the arrest of suspect for aggravated vehicle theft

Willenhall officers assisted with an arrest for Attempt Murder and seized a stolen vehicle

2 other stolen vehicles recovered and one vehicle on clone plates.

Traffic operation ( MARSO) Multi agency road safety operation.

seized truck for heavy overweight loads and no licence

2 x cars seized for no insurance and no licence

15 x vehicles advised /fined for multiple traffic offences

Knife sweep conducted in Willenhall memorial park, no weapons recovered.

1 x warning letter issued to youth for ASB and theft from Brackendale shopping centre

2 x warning letters for ASB at McDonalds

Reassurance visits to local children's homes in new road, Banks's street and sand beds road.

Monthly police surgeries conducted at Queens lea communality centre, library , Walsall street and the Hive , new invention

Patrols have been conducted around ASB hot spot areas and drug dealing area's throughout the Willenhall borough. Male stopped and search where drugs were seized and recovered.
